it was my duty to part the red sea
i tried so hard but i couldn't do it so everyone drowned
and now away from that land in an exile of my own choosing
i feel at home nowhere
under scorching sun and bitter wind
i feel peace nowhere
unless under 3 feet of water
i don't drown

a curse realised after hours spent in the sea
desperately inhaling
i've learnt that it's my fate to be lost
washing up on your shores like glass
